Legend: Bob Marley #1 Billboard Reggae Album Chart

Legend: The Best of Bob Marley and The Wailers #1 Billboard Reggae Album chart for week ending 1/18/20

It’s not unusual for the older Reggae albums to be consistently in the current top 10 Billboard Reggae Album Chart. This week the 1984 Legend: The Best of Bob Marley and the Wailers enters the chart at the number #1 spot.

American Reggae band Stick Figure has previously held the #1 spot for their 2019 release World on Fire. So far it has held the #1 spot for 15 out of 19 weeks on the chart. This week World on Fire slides down to #3. Shaggy re-enters the chart at #2 with his 2008 Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection.

Legend is also doing well on the Billboard Vinyl charts. According to Billboard, an impressive 26% of all physical albums sold in the U.S. in 2019 were vinyl, led by the Beatles. (Read more on Billboard.com) Legend: The Best of Bob Marley and The Wailers came in at #9 on the end of year 2019 Vinyl Albums chart . For the current weekly Vinyl albums chart, the album is at #10.
