New Music: Dejavilla Ochi to Mobay

Dejavilla Ochi to Mobay

By Kevin Bruff New Music: Dejavilla Ochi to Mobay

David Marston and Sarah Couch of Dejavilla, a new duo hailing from the foothills of Kingston, Jamaica have just released their third single.

La La La – The sweet opening of Ochi to Mobay eases the listener into a serenading poetic expression about a relationship twisted by maybe an undeserving playboy. The result is a cozy beat that is easy to bob, rock and pulse to.

The beat fuses themes from popular genres of jazz, R&B and pop while the words play on Caribbean hipness and cultural innuendos. The horns at the end are amazing and the light vocal processing exposes the the lead singer’s natural talent.

Overall , great music here – so hip and cool. It’s pick me up slowly and move me around kind of music. Lovers of light lofty music with clear lyrics about fun relationships will be happy to add this to their daily playlist.

Look out for Dejavilla‘s debut EP scheduled for release in the spring.
