Reggae Update Playlist 2020 – The Reggae Update airs every week on the Irie Vibes show on Live 97.5fm. Each Week, Empress K of Reggae Reflection includes the latest Reggae news and a featured song. In 2020, there were 50 songs featured throughout the year.
Three artists are tied in first place with three songs each!
1. Tarrus Riley with two songs from his 2020 album Healing (“Healing” and “Lighter” featuring Shenseea, plus “GYAL” from his 2019 EP BLEM. (Irie Vibes listeners also won tickets to see Tarrus on tour at the Howard Theatre in DC)
2. Christopher Martin scores big again this year on the playlist (Happy “You’re Mine,” “Big Big,” and “Between The Lines”)
3. Buju Banton also has three songs with two from his Grammy nominated 2020 album Upside Down (“Blessed” and “Memories”) and a collaboration with Koffee on the remix of “Pressure”
