Vermont JerkFest feat. Third World to spice up Killington Ski Resort 7/31 – 8/1

The inaugural launching of the Vermont JerkFest  and Reggae Festival takes place 7/31/15 – 8/1/15 at the beautiful Killington Ski Resort, the largest ski and snowboarding destination in the Eastern United States. This two day Caribbean-themed food and music festival celebrates the cuisine of Jamaica’s spicy Jerk-style fare and the sounds of Reggae and World Beat Music.  A Rum and Brew tasting kicks of the weekend festivities on Friday evening, July 31st.   World-renowned Reggae Ambassadors, Third World will headline the festival on Saturday, August 1st. Also featured on the line up is an eclectic mix of Reggae and World Beat performances by DJ Natty Kool, Jah N I Roots Band, Joey Leone, Mamadou, Ras Takura, and Satta Sound featuring Lady Lee and Shanti Starr. 

Reggae Reflection and Island Stage are pleased to announce that we are giving away one pair of tickets for the Vermont JerkFest for Saturday, 8/1.    We would like to extend our thanks to the Vermont JerkFest Organization and The Williams Agency for this opportunity.  

CONTEST DETAILS – Deadline  7/29 midnight ET. 
The winner will receive a pair of tickets.  This also includes one child.  Each additional child is only $5.00.     Tickets do not include food. Food and beverage for purchase on site.  Transportation and Accommodation are not included in this giveaway.  The pair of tickets will be available at  the Will Call area at the Vermont JerkFest.  Proper id is required to pick up the tickets.

Vermont JerkFest™ & Reggae Festival is a Caribbean style food festival held at Killington Resort in Killington, Vermont. It is a family-friendly festival that features Jamaican jerk hot food and the smooth sound of reggae music in the cool mountains of Vermont. All vendors are encouraged to source locally as Vermont JerkFest will highlight local and regional spicy specialty foods, made in Vermont and New England. The festival is also a zero waste event with minimal waste to the environment.

This 2-day festival kicks off Friday July 31, 2015 with a Rum & Brew Tasting from 7pm-10pm. The food and reggae festival takes place on Saturday, August 1, 2015 12pm-7pm. It is followed by Killington Jerk Jam, an after-party throughout the town of Killington from 7pm-until the bars close. The festival is produced in collaboration with the Town of Killington and Killington Resorts.
