The LoveLife Now Foundation presents the Annual White Ribbon Gala (Boston) featuring Actor Chad Coleman on 2/15/13
The White Ribbon Campaign began as a way to urge men to speak out against violence against women and was created by a handful of Canadian men in 1991 on the second anniversary of one man’s massacre of 14 women in Montreal. The Gala serves as a way to continue to educate men on how they can be part of the solution in ending the violence against women as well as raise funds to support local shelters. With that vision in mind that we hope you are able to come out in your numbers (men and women) to support this public fundraiser awareness front.
Some of the proceeds from the night will benefit Casa Myrna which provides Victim Services for battered women who have fled abusive situations, offers them emergency shelter and runs the statewide Domestic Violence Hotline (SAFELINK). Visit www.casamyrna.org for more information on their programs.
