Morgan Heritage remains a fan favorite in NYC. They returned to the city on 9/8/17 for their own concert at BB King Blues Club in the heart of Times Square. Over the summer they headlined the Grace Jerk Festival; currently they are in the midst of a coast-to-coast tour to promote their new album, Avrakedabra. Avrakedabra was released earlier this year on May 19th and is the follow up to their Grammy award winning Album, Strictly Roots.
Morgan Heritage family members Gramps Morgan, Mojo Morgan, and lead vocalist Peetah Morgan accompanied by their band and new supporting vocalist Natasha Renee entertained the crowd with longtime Morgan Heritage classics as well as songs from their most recent albums Strictly Roots and Avrakedabra.
Peetah Morgan shined the stage spotlight on Oneida Morgan, the daughter of Gramps Morgan wowing the crowd with a brief sample of her vocals – another next gen Morgan Heritage artist in the making.
Once their Us tour wraps up in late October, they will immediately embark on a European tour with shows in Switzerland, Belgium, Sweden, and several stops in The Netherlands. Look out for them returning to the states in November to appear at the Jamaican Jerk Festival in Sunrise, FL before a next leg of shows in Brazil.
